- AN ORIGIN STORY

Following widespread community anticipation for even more lore in our Seasons content, the team is excited to deliver just that in our next release. This upcoming Season will lean heavily into the backstory of the kingdom by presenting an origin story. Players will embark on an invitation to explore the forgotten Cave of Prophecies in the Isle of Dawn.

This eerie new area will reveal ancient mysteries around the group of Ancestor Spirits you encounter, as they introduce new gameplay challenges and collaborations. Here, you will discover the Prophecy Season Guide and Four Prophets who have longed to meet you (don’t worry, Sky Children will still be rewarded a season’s worth of unique cosmetics and items as before).

We’re still working hard to finalize the Season of Prophecy, and explore how we can continue to delight and surprise veteran and new players joining Sky! We can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this next Adventure story arc. We are thrilled to unveil our new teaser video today - check it out?here!?

We’ve enjoyed seeing our community embrace all our Seasons in the past, and hearing what players are interested in for the future? When discussing our newer ideas, we have wanted to focus on fewer, high quality characters that provided more depth of story, emotional resonance and variety of gameplay experiences. The Season of Prophecy is an example of this.

Moving forward, the Seasons team will continue to challenge ourselves creatively and as a result give our developers the license to experiment on gameplay. We hope to take larger leaps forward to evolve and differentiate the thematic and emotional experience of each story arc. With this in mind, we welcome your feedback on how we can improve the Seasons experience for you and the community!
