“The fire the keen eyes are like, distinguishing one group from another.” Mother, Hsi Wu, Jackie Chan, and Tohru were reciting the spell on the morning of Chinese New Year’s Eve.

A sword appeared at the entrance of Hong Kong Moose World.

“Hong Kong, the hometown of Jackie and Jade!” said Hsi Wu.

“We would call on Jade’s parents during this Hong Kong visit. But we’re in such a situation that Jade lost her memory and Daolon Wong’s party has strengthened much. What could we do?” said Jackie.

“Why not call El Toro Fuerte and Viper to have them come for help?” suggested Tohru.

“It’s good that we can suppress those Dark Chi Warriors this way. But the most important thing is how to recover Uncle and Jade’s memory.”

“We may ask Shendu for help,” said Hsi Wu faintly.

“What? Why ask him? And isn’t he in the Netherworld?” Jackie found it abrupt for Hsi Wu to mention this.

“We can communicate through a mirror.”

“But…can he solve it. Will he be glad to aid us?” suspected Tohru.

“Needn’t be too wary. You listen to us aside when I talked with Shendu but don’t make a voice. Shendu masters the most witchcraft among the eight demons. He may know the way to crack down on Daolon Wong’s magic.”

“The same sound to echo, the same Chi to seek!” Hsi Wu recited the spell standing in front of a mirror of Mother’s house.

The gray and yellow background and the giant floating stones appeared, followed by a half-transparent dragon in the mirror.

“Brother Wu, you seem to move to another place. I go to summon our siblings here.” Shendu looked the background of Hsi Wu up and down.

“Needn’t. I’m here just for you. Did you ever heard of a kind of magic for stealing one’s memory?”

“Yes, I did. What happened?”

“Can you break it down? Daolon Wong used this magic to make Uncle and Jade lose their memory.”

“You are still with them!” said Shendu amazingly.

“Then what do you say about this?” Hsi Wu folded his arms.

“By what purpose should I aid you? Why should I help the enemy who sealed me?” Shendu who used to pretend to be polite to his siblings also lost his temper explicitly.

“Daolon Wong commands much dark magic. If you help me defeat him, I will force him to hand out his magic secrets. I will release you first. Maybe… release you only.”

At this time, Jackie and Tohru who hid behind the mirror took a cold breath.

“You mean business?” Shendu’s eyes glittered on hearing getting out of the Netherworld. He was in the spirit form and was taunted and tormented by other demons there; really could not bear it anymore.

“You tell the method to me,” said Hsi Wu.

“It’s of no use to tell you. I must cast the magic myself.”

“Why? And I don’t know how to release you now.”

“There’s no need to release me now. It can be done when I am in the mirror. And as for why it must be me, do you forget my spell?”

“I understand, distinguishing one group from another,” said Hsi Wu.

“But I still need a good chi wizard to match me. Since that old man loses his memory, can you find other wizards?”

“You needn’t worry about this. See you later, brother Shendu. I’m leaving for Hong Kong now.” Hsi Wu closed the mirror.

Jackie, Tohru, and Mother walked out from behind the mirror.

“Do you really intend to release Shendu?” asked Jackie Chan.

“He won’t help me if I don’t say so.”

In Hong Kong, in every street and before every shop, lights were hung, decorates were laid, old paper-cuttings were instituted by new ones, and actors were preparing the flaming rings and rehearsing the lion dance. Everything was submerged in the busy festival atmosphere.

The four went through buzzing crowds and came to the entrance of Moose World. They looked for a while but could not find the sword.

“Strange! Have Daolon Wong derived the Demon Chi?”

Suddenly, Uncle and Jade appeared in front of the gate of Moose World.

“Aiiee-yaahh! How do I bump into you again?”

“Where is Daolon Wong?” asked Hsi Wu in haste.

“Humph! I won’t tell you.” ?????? Uncle looked aside, took Jade’s hand, and walked directly to Moose World.

“Wait a minute, Jade. Don’t leave now!” Hsi Wu stopped Uncle and Jade.

“Aiiee-yaahh! You the demon want to stop us from having a nice Chinese New Year?”

“Of course not, you look at the mirror.”

Hsi Wu drew out the mirror, in which appeared a half-transparent dragon.

“Old man, long time no see,” said Shendu with a low voice.

“Aiiee-yaahh! What a monster!” Uncle took a big step behind in alarm.

“Ready? Tohru!” Hsi Wu reminded Tohru.

“The fire the keen eyes are like, distinguishing one group from another.”

“Yu Mo Gui Gwai Fai Di Zao.”

The mirror and the Squid Piece in Tohru’s hand emitted surpassing light. Uncle and Jade put their sleeves in front of their eyes.

“Aiiee-yaahh! Daolon Wong cheated me!” Uncle opened his eyes after the light vanished.

“I…I’m sorry. I took you as enemies.” Jade also recalled everything.

“Hurry, we look for Daolon Wong at once. He has inhaled the Fire Demon Chi!” said Uncle.

“What! He has inhaled?” Hsi Wu felt strange.

“Didn’t you feel it?” asked Uncle.

“Not at all,” said Hsi Wu.

“Brother Wu, I sensed vaguely that in the due north my chi is located,” said Shendu in the mirror.

“Aiiee-yaahh! Shendu!”

“Uncle, don’t take it wrongly. It’s Shendu who recited the spell to help you and Jade recover your memory.”

“Oh? Then Uncle should be grateful for you the old dragon this time!” said Uncle. “In fact, even without your instruction have I known where Daolon Wong locates. In a hotel in the north indeed.”

“Brother Wu, can I have a word with you?” said Shendu.

“But…” Hsi Wu glanced at others, hesitating.

“Be quick before coming back,” said Jackie.

“You! I cannot imagine what magic hexed on you!” It seemed that Shendu was taunting as well as joking.

“Still want me to release you!” Hsi Wu turned his eyes red, pretending to be angry.

“Of course, my nice brother,” said Shendu in hurry.

“If so you’d better be obedient. I mention to you that you should follow my arrangement after getting out. Otherwise, I can’t assure you that Uncle doesn’t turn you into a stone.”

“Okay,” said Shendu.

“I’ll go back, they are growing worried now. Farewell!” Hsi Wu closed the mirror.

“Oops! How did you come!” Jade suddenly emerged from the bushes, startling Hsi Wu a lot. “Did you hear all that we talked about?”

“Will you really release Shendu in the future?” Jade nodded and asked.

“I don’t know,” said Hsi Wu.

“You mean you have not decided yet?”

“Maybe, it depends on the condition. If we can really turn him into a statue, it doesn’t matter to release him. I guess he must lead a hard life in the Netherworld.” Saying this, Hsi Wu began to smirk. “He had offended us much before.”

“Maybe you’re right, and… Seymour, I am sorry.” Jade suddenly clutched Hsi Wu’s hands.

“Never mind, I felt it intriguing that you fight against me,” Hsi Wu kept on smirking.

“Intriguing? You knew me losing memory and did not feel disquiet at all?”

“Why should I be disquiet? Even you yesterday also came to fall in love with me later, didn’t you?” A row of white teeth appeared in Hsi Wu’s mouth.

“You the rascal!” Jade covered Hsi Wu’s mouth in haste.

“Well, let’s go.” Hsi Wu took Jade and flew out of the greenbelt.

Uncle and Jade led the other four winding through the jungle of skyscrapers. Uncle and Mother still kept quarreling along the way. The six came to Daolon Wong’s hotel, the street before which laid rows of goods for New Year.

“Uncle has the willies.” Uncle suddenly shivering.

The sound of chaos echoed from the other side of the street, followed by the light of fires.

It turned out that El Toro, Viper, and Paco who had just arrived in Hong Kong came across Daolon Wong in front of the New Year goods stall and the two sides began to fight with each other.

The Dark Chi Warriors ran after Viper, who sprang to her feet through a fire ring for the lion dance. Daolon puffed fire which ignited the gasoline attached to the ring, on which flames burst out.

Unexpectedly, the crowd around applauded for they thought this was a New Year show.

El Toro fought with the Dark Chi Warriors. The onlookers divided themselves into two groups, cheering. They thought this was a wrestling show.

Seeing this, Hsi Wu spread his wings and flew to Daolon Wong. Uncle also walked over.

The people in the street all marveled at Hsi Wu’s wings. They don’t know what kind of material could make a pair of wings so life-like. Many also discussed why this pair of wings managed to fly from the perspective of dynamics.

Seeing Hsi Wu flying by, Daolon Wong hurriedly emitted beams of magic toward Hsi Wu. However, this could not harm him for he was with the Mountain Demon Chi.

“Uncle! Where are you? I told you not to take Jade to the park and you didn’t listen to me. The demon comes just when you are absent!” Daolon Wong was a little panicked.

“Uncle is here, but Uncle has been the Uncle before!”

“You…But Daolon Wong has not been the Daolon Wong before!” Hsi Wu had flown in front of Daolon Wong, but he seemed to be a little calmer.

Hsi Wu began to inhale the demon chi. However, to his surprise, he felt it difficult to take in. He stared at Daolon Wong, only to find him frowning, seeming to prevent the chi from flowing out hard.

Hsi Wu inhaled hard and finally, the Demon Chi flowed out of Daolon Wong’s eyes and into Hsi Wu’s body.

The moment Daolon Wong lost his Demon Chi, he released a heavy cloud of purple smoke. After the smoke vanished, Daolon Wong was out of sight.

“Let him flee again!” said Uncle.

“It doesn’t matter compared to that I felt so hard to inhale the Demon Chi from his body, and that I cannot feel the abnormal movements of Demon Chi now.” Hsi Wu was very worried. He was afraid that Daolon Wong was practicing certain kind of magic to let Demon Chi cling to him more closely.

“Now, we should have got all the eight Demon Chi.” Jackie Chan walked over.

“Then we won’t be worried about Daolon Wong the guy anymore!” said Viper.

“It’s the victory of our J-Team!” El Toro waved his arms, cheering.

“Well, I won’t think about these now. We first have a good New Year tonight!” said Hsi Wu.

“We now purchase some goods for New Year and call on Jade’s parents later,” said Jackie.

“Dad, Mom, haven’t seen you for over half a year.” Wild though Jade always was, she also missed her parents in the atmosphere of the festival.

“Oops, Hsi Wu, now are you holding three Demon Chi?” Uncle suddenly thought of this.

“Yes, I… I’m not so well. Maybe I should return to San Francisco now.”

“What? Little demon, don’t you celebrate the Chinese New Year with us?”

“I can come back within an hour!” Hsi Wu spread his wings, looking back, saying to Tohru’s mother.

An hour later, Jackie Chan knocked on the door of Jade’s parents.

“Jade! Jackie! Uncle! What brings you to Hong Kong?” Surprise filled in Jade’s parents’ eyes.

“Many friends of ours also come to Hong Kong.” Jackie pointed at the team behind him and said.

“Yes, we all come to help Jackie defeat the Dark Chi Wizard…” Before El Toro finished his words, Viper covered his mouth.

“Defeating the Dark Chi Wizard, a new game in Moose World,” said Viper.

“Let me introduce them to you,” said Jackie to Jade’s parents. “This is Tohru, a shop assistant of Uncle. This is Tohru’s mother. This is El Toro, a Spanish wrestling champion. This is Paco, he follows El Toro to practice wrestling. This is Viper, she is…”

“She is Jackie’s girlfriend.” Jackie cut in.

“Jade!” Jackie could just say, blushing.

“Oh, that’s so, welcome! Jackie, you are also entering your thirties, it’s time for you to set up a family.” Jade’s parents said with a smile.

“This is Hsi Wu, he is Jade’s classmate and friend.”

“Welcome, boy!” Jade’s parents greeted Hsi Wu.

“Oops!” Jackie, Jade, and her parents got a surprise.

“It’s today!” said Hsi Wu smirkingly.

As Jackie didn’t expect, the surprise on Jade’s parents’ faces became smiles.

“It appears you are a good boy,” Jade’s father first said.

“We as elders won’t interfere with you much,” said Jade’s mother.

“Yes, Hsi Wu the boy is nice indeed. He and Jade are all top students in their class, competing in study.” Jackie added hurriedly and relieved a little.

“Jackie, I would express my gratitude to you. Jade made much progress under your care,” said Jade’s father.

“Alas, why do you say this abruptly?” Jade whispered to Hsi Wu’s ear, with blame as well as pleasure.

“Then do you agree?” Hsi Wu whispered to Jade, too.

“Of course!”

The dusk faded and Jade’s parents prepared a feast for Chinese New Year.

“Why not take a group photo?”

“Good idea!” Everyone agreed.

The eleven stood together. Jade set up the time for the camera and ran to the center position.

“Cheese!”

Indoors, cheers and laughs filled the room; outdoors, breaks of firecrackers echoed here and there. Through the flaming iron ring danced the lions, and along the streets wound the red dragons. All families reunite -- Chinese New Year.
