相較古典歌劇較為小眾的受眾群體，音樂劇以其現(xiàn)代化，國際化，市場化的特點瞬間燃爆整個國內(nèi)演出市場，同時不失戲劇性和多元性的特色使音樂劇也具有相應的門檻和標準。中國音樂劇市場規(guī)模近三年來每年都幾乎成倍擴大，在這樣的大環(huán)境下，想要學習的音樂劇的同學也就越來越多。

今天我們就來重點說說音樂劇留學要注意哪些問題？

注意問題

關于國家

• 倫敦西區(qū)和紐約百老匯是世界上唯二兩個可以成為世界音樂劇中心的地方，同時也帶動了奧利弗獎和托尼獎這兩個戲劇類獎項的發(fā)展。這代表著，英美在音樂劇表演、教育、后臺制作等方面享有其他國家無法比擬的資源。更多的資源也就意味著更多的機會，毫無疑問都是英美院校能提供更多的可能。

  
  

• 英美院校教學質(zhì)量過硬，課程安排合理，所以單從學校的教育質(zhì)量來看，英美院校的認可度更高。

關于選校

• 不要一味的相信學校排名！有些排名高的院校未必專業(yè)好，排名不好的院校未必專業(yè)差，要是一味的只看排名，會少丟掉很多選擇機會。
  
  

• 確定好學校后，一定要確定自己申請的學校是否有這個專業(yè)，本科還是研究生！有一些學校是只有本科沒有碩士的，比如卡內(nèi)基梅隆、密歇根安娜堡等。有一些學校甚至沒有音樂劇專業(yè)，比如茱莉亞音樂學院。不要盲目的相信網(wǎng)上的信息，不一定準確，否則到了申請的時候沒有專業(yè)可以申請那就悲劇了！

關于語言

在音樂劇方面，英語系的劇目還是牢牢占據(jù)著統(tǒng)治地位，而且在影響力方面對其他語種呈現(xiàn)碾壓之勢。如果你的英語不好，那要加油了~音樂劇專業(yè)作為“表演類藝術(shù)之王”，對于口語和聽力的要求非常高，像是皇家蘇格蘭碩士專業(yè)都要求7.5以上的雅思成績，更有甚者，還有學校要求雅思達到8.0以上。

關于作品集

• 要給自己留足夠的時間準備。在準備留學申請和作品集的過程中，總會遇到各種各樣的問題，所以越早開始準備越好。
  

• 選擇合適的作品非常重要！在學校規(guī)定的曲目和獨白范圍內(nèi)，選擇適合自己年齡、性格、音色、音域的作品，能起到事半功倍的效果，也會省去很多不必要的麻煩。
  

• 在錄制之前，需要多多練習選的作品，留出一些時間，拋開其他的事情，專心準備最后的錄制，從錄制前兩周開始調(diào)整自己的心情和狀態(tài)，讓自己保持在最佳的狀態(tài)。

院校介紹

01 曼哈頓音樂學院（只有本科）

曼哈頓音樂學院享有盛譽的音樂劇課程是紐約市唯一的獨立音樂學院課程。我們的項目吸引了專業(yè)的藝術(shù)家教師和客座藝術(shù)家，他們中的許多人在百老匯的一些最偉大的演出中創(chuàng)作和表演過，如 悲慘世界、 歌劇魅影、拉格泰姆、芝加哥等等。學生接受全面的音樂劇培訓，最終獲得完全認可的學士學位。
MSM 音樂劇學生每年有很多演出機會，包括：四部完全制作的圖書音樂劇、一部正在開發(fā)的音樂劇、新生你好！和高級展示。所有 MSM 作品均由專業(yè)的戲劇藝術(shù)家指導、編排和設計。此外，我們還為專業(yè)音樂劇作家提供與學生一起討論材料的機會，并鼓勵學生制作獨立的表演項目。

• Two contrasting one-minute selections from the Musical Theatre repertoire; one up-tempo, one ballad

• A one-minute, memorized monologue of your choice.

• Perform a dance of your choosing, or from the following suggested genres: contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, or tap. The selection should be no longer than one minute. Do not submit videos from performances. You should be the only person in the video.

02 波士頓音樂學院（只有本科）

• One song should be a ballad and one song should be an up-tempo

• One song should be written prior to 1970. This song can be either the up-tempo or the ballad (student’s choice).

• One song should be written after 1970 and contrast the style of the first (can include jukebox musicals)

• Each song file should be 60–90 seconds (this time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece and is strictly adhered to; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds)

• Students must sing to live or recorded accompaniment; no a cappella singing

• Songs should be filmed in a 3/4 shot, which means the top of the head to the knees should be visible in the frame

• One 60–90 second contemporary monologue (written during the 20th Century–present) from a published play. This time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece and is strictly adhered to; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds.

• The contemporary monologue should be filmed in a “close-up” shot which means the top of the head to the chest should be visible in the frame

• Monologues cannot be from musicals, television shows, or movies

• Each monologue file should be 60–90 seconds in length (this time limit includes the slate at the beginning of the piece; please do not upload media files longer than 90 seconds)

舞蹈

• You are invited to submit an additional video that reveals more information about your unique interests, skills, and personality. Students with dance training or experience (ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, salsa, South Asian, folk, swing, etc.) are especially encouraged to do so. “Wild card” examples may include playing an instrument, performing a self-written song or monologue, rap, acrobatics, stand up comedy, spoken word, magic, drag, impersonations, etc.

• Time limit: 1 minute.

03 卡內(nèi)基梅隆大學（只有本科）

卡內(nèi)基梅隆大學的本科音樂劇課程是四年制的，所有學表演，或者音樂的學生的核心課程是一樣的。
第一年學習基礎的知識和技巧；第二年則會學習怎樣將所學的技巧在當代戲劇中實踐；在第三年，學生會發(fā)掘自己的表演風格，這一年學生們將公開表演；到了第四年，學生會有機會出國留學，在舞臺劇中擔任角色，同時學習商務課程。

Resume including any training and experience in theater, film, music and dance as well as academic achievements, work experience and community service.HeadshotEach piece should be filmed/uploaded as a separate piece of media. No continuous videos. Students are encouraged to use standard technology/recording devices that are available to them (i.e. smartphones, tablets, etc).There should not be a separate "slate" video, rather slates are to appear at the beginning of each piece. 05?加州大學洛杉磯分校

俄克拉荷馬城市大學是一所位于美國西部的院校，雖然在綜合排名方面并不優(yōu)秀，但其在藝術(shù)領域有一些名氣，尤其是涉及音樂、戲劇方面的表演類藝術(shù)。該校的音樂劇專業(yè)開設有本科和碩士學位，設置在其音樂學院下面。該學院的音樂劇課程是美國強度最高的課程之一，并將嚴格的音樂培訓與表演、表演技巧、舞蹈訓練、舞臺工藝等結(jié)合在一起。學院致力于培養(yǎng)音樂劇行業(yè)的高水平演員，并專注于使他們獲得巨大的成功！學員將有機會參加每年六場的年度作品演出。

07 雪蘭多大學

學校旗下有一個專業(yè)的表演公司，叫做Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre (SSMT)。這個公司每年制作四個大型音樂劇，并且也和曾經(jīng)獲得托尼獎的Signature Theatre（簽名劇院）有長期的合作關系。

另外，在大三的學年中，學生將進行職業(yè)培訓，學習如何成為具有企業(yè)家精神的藝術(shù)家。這堂課里，學生將學習如何寫簡歷、談判合同、創(chuàng)建網(wǎng)頁、管理個人社交媒體等方面。他們還將在紐約等城市尋找機會。
每年，學校將會有2個大型舞臺音樂劇以及1個黑盒子音樂劇。所有學生（大一至大四）都必須要進行面試。另外，音樂劇的學生還需要去面試參加校內(nèi)的3個黑盒子話劇和1個大型舞臺劇。另外，一些學生組建了校外的戲劇公司。雪蘭多大學一年內(nèi)會制作超過400個表演。

08 賓州州立大學

第一學期，學生將分組學習發(fā)聲技巧和歌唱表演。課程也包括一對一的聲樂指導。學生將學習、排練以及表演6首不同風格的歌曲，并且學期末展示給全體教授和學生。

在第二學年后，學生將受邀面試參演學校的大型音樂劇和學部的音樂劇。第一年的舞蹈培訓將會包含芭蕾、運動美學、呼吸等舞蹈元素。學校有一個222座的劇院叫做The Pavilion Theatre，并且包括和百老匯劇院同等專業(yè)的燈光、音響設備。舞臺下方還有一個寬敞的工作室，用于排練和上課。

09 密利克大學

學生在第一學期就會有很多表演機會。所有BFA的表演學生必須要面試學校的大型音樂劇。另外，校內(nèi)還有一個學生戲劇公司叫做Pipe Dreams Studio Theatre。所有學生每年都會有一個年度匯報評價。第一年是尤其重要的，因為會有一部分學生因為不合格而停止就讀。

10 伊隆大學

伊隆大學的音樂劇專業(yè)每年只錄取16-20名新生。

Catherine McNeela是音樂劇學院的協(xié)調(diào)員。她本人具有25年的表演和導演經(jīng)驗，并在世界各地表演超過100部話劇、音樂劇和歌劇等。音樂劇項目在學校的藝術(shù)中心內(nèi)部，有一個575座的劇院，125座的獨奏廳和100座的黑盒子劇院。
學習音樂劇的學生也可以申請學校的獎學金，每年可供500-6000美金。

11?鮑德溫華萊士大學

大師課堂是鮑德溫華萊士大學中重要的一部分。每年，學校將會邀請最少10名行業(yè)內(nèi)的大師帶給學生講座。這些大師包括經(jīng)紀人、選角導演、編舞、音樂指導等。

Ars Nova是一個校內(nèi)的音樂劇團體，它致力于通過邀請校外大師來做好校內(nèi)戲劇學生和專業(yè)戲劇人士之間的連接。

12 辛辛那提大學音樂學院

這是一個嚴厲且充滿挑戰(zhàn)的課程體系，學生們要學習契訶夫、梅式等戲劇表演法，并且也將學習卡巴萊技巧、面試技巧、鏡頭表演技巧等。
大一和大四的結(jié)業(yè)展示將會邀請紐約的經(jīng)紀人和選角導演。學校非常強調(diào)發(fā)聲技巧，每個學生將會有1對1的聲樂輔導，學生將學習如何表演音樂劇的歌曲。
學校有一個最大的禮堂叫做Corbett Auditorium，是美國大學校園內(nèi)視覺和聽覺效果最佳的劇院之一。1997年的時候，該劇院曾經(jīng)獲得了最負聲望的劇院翻新獎項。這個劇院包含740個座椅、并且有升降舞臺和非常專業(yè)的音響和燈光設備。
音樂學院包含1200個本科和研究生學生，他們都來自美國餓44個州和其他35個國家。每年學校將會有800個以上的表演，比俄亥俄州的任何一個藝術(shù)組織的表演都要多。
