Sitting on the?roofridge of the derelict house rumored to be haunting from the very ancient?was I incognito, washing myself?with the downpour of starlight?of sundown in the countryside. Peaceful was the?environment which was charactirized by its unique serenity in stark contrast?to?that of?Shanghai where bustling markets and bazaars?were?far and near. With a book I loved most in my hands, I relished perusing every word?of it whose?sentences were interlarded with?sexuel innuendo. Soon the sun, the greatest?celestial body?in the whole of the solar system?clocked?out and even I?begged of?him to lend?me some dim rays which I can avail?myself of but to no avail as it?vanished with sheer determination?with no vestige of?its rays and warmth?felt in darkness.?Whereupon?I had to appeal to the moon?and stars?for help?but no response came from them. A night breeze blew in?and occasioned?from nearby chimneys?wisps of smoke which were?wreathing heavenward?to waft into my nostrils. Night deenpened with the time wearing on. I suddenly heard a?crescendo?of clatterings?of high heels and when?the sound?was loud enough,?cowardly as I was, I?screwed up my courage and turned?my head to have a look in the direction of the sound---A woman?clad in a white robe?besmeared with?crimson dots of bloodstain which was?still fresh stood staring at me only a few steps away from me, her visage ashen,?expressionless and also bloodstained?as her robe and then, she gave me a?dry smile which revealed her ferocious?tusks?which?no human could possess.
