There are only 2 tactical decisions in tennis.?
1.?to take time away from your opponent, or
2.?to hit out of your opponent’s strike zone
4 ways to take time away from your opponent.
1. Take the ball early?
2. Hit with disguise?
3. Approach the net?
4. Hit on the rise?
5 ways to hit out of your opponent’s strike zone.?
1. Slice, so your opponent bends?
2. Hit heavy, so the opponent has to hit above their strike zone?
3. Hit deep middle, to cramp the opponent?
4. Hit wide or angled, to make your opponent reach for the ball?
5. Hit diverse passing shots, which combines the above 4 by going at the body, at the feet, lob them, hit a sharp dipping cross court ball, or to hit to the gap down the line.?

1. Dimension One - Hit Heavy?
2. Dimension Two - Hit Angles
3. Dimension Three- Hit Deep Middle?
4. Dimension Four - Slice/ Backspin

“Dimension Eleven - Hit Diverse Passing Shots”.
1) Go straight at their body - Select 2-Foot Pivots or Step Downs.
2) Hit at the opponents’ feet - Select 1-Foot Pivots.
3) Hit a Lob - Select 1-Foot Pivots or Back Foot Hops or Sliced Closed Backhand.
4) Hit a sharp angle - Select Lateral Hops or dipping Closed Backhands.
5) Hit hard down the line - Select Power Move or Mogul Move Contact Moves.?

Below are 12 patterns I like to train with my players:?
1. Hit the ball side to side and make the opponent run?
2. Attack the opponent’s weakness?
3. Attack the middle and take away the opponent’s angles and cramp their swing?
4. Approach the net?
5. Run-around and hit a forehand?
6. Stay crosscourt then go down the line on a short ball?
7. Hit the ball side to side, get the opponent running then go back in behind (ie wrong foot them)
8. Serve and volley?
9. Return then approach?
10. Deep ball short ball bring the opponent in and pass or lob them?
11. Hit heavy through the middle - create a gap then finish towards the hole created?
12. Serve +1, + 2 or +3 depending on serve placement?
