有個(gè)英語學(xué)習(xí)的群，大家經(jīng)常交流英語學(xué)習(xí)。那天用英語聊天英語學(xué)習(xí)的事情，我發(fā)表了我的看法。我的看法可能和很多人不太一樣。我認(rèn)為英語學(xué)習(xí)分為最基本的英語技能（聽說讀寫）和英語語言的知識(shí)。我們掌握了最基本的英語使用技巧后，為啥還是不能像母語一樣聽說讀寫？主要是我們?nèi)鄙儆⒄Z背后最基本的英語學(xué)科知識(shí)。想象一下一個(gè)普通中國(guó)人，如果沒有接受很良好的教育，很多內(nèi)容他也一樣聽不懂。再進(jìn)一步想象一下，我們看一篇專業(yè)的物理文章，不是這個(gè)專業(yè)的，很多人可能字都認(rèn)識(shí)，但是看不懂。看都看不懂，何況是聽懂？從這個(gè)意義上說，讓孩子接受完整中文教育后，出國(guó)留學(xué)接受教育，光是對(duì)英語能力就很有幫助。我總結(jié)這個(gè)文章，一是當(dāng)做記錄，二是供大家參考。不足之處歡迎溝通交流。

many may think that vocabulary and grammar are barriers to their understanding and communication in English usage. In my opinion, vocabulary and grammar do matter, but what blocks us mainly is the knowledge behind the English language, such as science, social science, art, and the culture of the country.

what we lack in the English language is knowledge in English about all subjects such as biology, physics, and so on.

thus the TOEFL or IELTS provides a good opportunity to learn them as there are readings related to different topics such as science, history, art, and so on.

just think about a Chinese person who is not well educated, this guy may not understand many topics in Chinese such as evolution

after mastering the basic skills to use English, the important thing, in my opinion, is the knowledge behind the language, which will affect our understanding and communication, especially the listening

I hope that my statement could clarify why understanding is difficult when we listen to what a speaker says.

I remember that there is a principle that people will have difficulty in understanding when there is a fixed percentage of new words in a passage.

we can conclude that TOEFL or IELTS is a good way and provides effective materials to improve our English even if one does not want to go abroad to study or work.

It seems that I am promoting TOEFL or IELTS, but this is not my business

it is easy to understand otherwise both of these tests could not be widely accepted by international universities and organizations to demonstrate English proficiency.
