My Story of C. Carnifex
There were two Cardisoma Carnifex in the past.

The male was pink, purple, and very shy.

As for the female, she was... Active, and fun.

She allowed me to take funny videos.

They fought at first sight, but in the end...

... They made love.

The female cared for the eggs...

... And eventually, the babies were born.
I tried many different ways to raise them, but none survived.

Days went by,

and the crabs lived happily. So I was about to forget the incident with the eggs...

... Or not. They had even more eggs. I tried many more ways to raise them - to no avail, yet again.
I knew that they were going to lay more and more eggs, so I was not about to give up hope.

But one day, I had to send my crabs to my girlfriend's home for a few months...

... And the male died while trying to molt before coming back to my home.
So it was like... My days with the Cardisoma Carnifex was nearing it's end, and the breeding seemed to have failed.
But one day, my friend 'Min' successfully raised the Zoea of his own Cardisoma Carnifex, and sent one of them to me.

It was beautiful. It was unlike any other Gecarcinidae I've ever seen.

So like that, my journey with the adult Cardisoma Carnifex has ended, and a new journey with the baby crab began.

Here is how it looks today. I hope he/she lives for a long time.
I hope my male crab is in a better place,
and I wish you found the story fun.
